ARCA Racing Series Preview: Chicagoland Speedway

On Thursday, Self will return to the ARCA Racing Series at Chicagoland Speedway for the Scott 150. Self will drive the No. 88 for the first time, fielded by Mason Mitchell Motorsports, with the recognizable Sinclair Oil “Dino Car” livery on board.

This weekend, Michael Self and Sinclair Oil reunited on the track with Sinclair back on board Self’s No. 9 Ford Fusion in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West. The duo visited the .375-mile semi-banked Douglas County Speedway, in Roseburg, Oregon.

Self now heads to the .375-mile semi-banked Douglas County Speedway, a track where Self has one previous start in 2010, finishing 17th after a late race mechanical issue took him out of a top-three finish.

Self Gambles, Runs Fourth at Evergreen

For the first time since 2013, Michael Self returned to the pacific northwest over the weekend to Monroe, Washington’s Evergreen Speedway, a .686-mile flat oval known for its abuse of tires but scenic surroundings. Self continued his NASCAR K&N Pro Series West campaign with the Sunrise Ford Racing team, driving the No. 9 Sunrise Ford Fusion.

Self now heads to the .646-mile semi-banked oval of Evergreen Speedway in Monroe, WA. Just outside of Seattle. Self has three starts at Washington’s only NASCAR-sanctioned track, with one top-five finish of second in 2012.

Self and Dino Rally Late for Sixth-Place Finish at Iowa

Michael Self and Dino returned to Iowa Speedway on Friday night for the Casey’s General Store 150, with Self wheeling the No. 9 Sinclair Oil Ford for Sunrise Ford Racing. The event marked the annual NASCAR K&N East-West combination race, where teams from both series come together at the 7/8-mile track just outside of Des Moines.

Self returns to the 7/8 mile Iowa Speedway for the second time in three weeks, this time in the No. 9 Sinclair Oil Ford Fusion in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West, driving for Sunrise Ford Racing. Self has two wins at the D-shaped oval in K&N series competition, in 2012 and 2013.

Self Scores Top-Five in Road Course Return at Sonoma

Self re-visited Sonoma Raceway for the first time since 2013 for the Carneros 200 in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West. His laps in practice on Friday marked the first time Self has been in NASCAR competition on a road course since 2015, when he finished 11th in the NASCAR Xfinity Series at Road America.
