With the dirt races in the mirror, Self now turns back to short-track asphalt racing for the ARCA Menards Series 107th race at the abrasive, high-banked and high-speed half-mile Salem Speedway. This will be Self's third start at Salem. He has one win at the track which came during the spring earlier this year.

With one dirt start and one dirt win now under his belt, Self looks to expand on the knowledge he gained at Springfield as the Venturini Motorsports No. 25 teams heads to its second and final dirt event of the season at the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds. Though also one-mile in length, the Du Quoin, Illinois track differs from Springfield in shape and dirt compound, and the race will also be held at night time for the first time since 2016.

Self is no stranger to the high-speed short track with 10 previous starts between NASCAR K&N, Xfinity, and ARCA Menards Series competition. He is credited with two wins, five top-fives, and seven top-10 finishes at Iowa between the three series.
