Self has limited dirt track practice experience, but no dirt races under his belt.

Self is no stranger to the high-speed short track with 10 previous starts between NASCAR K&N, Xfinity, and ARCA Menards Series competition. He is credited with two wins, five top-fives, and seven top-10 finishes at Iowa between the three series.

The 1.25-mile track just outside of St. Louis features flat corners that are shaped differently at each end with long straightaways in between. Though Self has never made a lap at WWT Raceway, he spotted for Justin Hayley in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series at the track in 2016.
