ARCA Menards Series Preview: Elko Speedway

Self and the Venturini Motorsports team will now head to the smallest track on the schedule, the 3/8-mile paved Elko Speedway. This will be Self's first start at the short track that sits just outside Minneapolis, though Self has numerous starts on 3/8-mile tracks in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West.

Self and the team will look to rebound this week as they head to Chicagoland Speedway, where Self managed to take home the checkered flag after a late-race pass last year. Self has two prior ARCA Menards Series starts, and one start in the NASCAR Xfinity Series at Chicagoland. Self is credited with one win, and has led 92 laps in ARCA competition at Chicagoland.

The 1.25-mile track just outside of St. Louis features flat corners that are shaped differently at each end with long straightaways in between. Though Self has never made a lap at WWT Raceway, he spotted for Justin Hayley in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series at the track in 2016.
