ARCA Racing Series Preview: Salem Speedway

After a two month break plus a race-weekend rain-out, Self will head to Salem, Indiana this Saturday to make his first start on the historic, high-banked Salem Speedway. Although Self has never competed at Salem, this won't be his first visit to the track, as he has spotted for current NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver Justin Haley in two previous ARCA starts at the .5-mile short track.

The ARCA Racing Series made it's way to Iowa Speedway for the 12th round of the 2018 schedule on Saturday, and fresh off his second victory of the year at Chicagoland Speedway was Michael Self in the No. 55 Sinclair Oil Toyota. Making his 10th start at the Newton, Iowa based short track, Self was enthusiastic about his chances.

Self Earns Redemption with Victory at Chicagoland

After cutting a right-front tire in the waning laps with a commanding lead in last season’s ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards SCOTT 150 at Chicagoland Speedway, Michael Self headed back to the Windy City on Thursday seeking redemption. This Thursday, Self, driving the No. 15 Sinclair Oil Toyota, will make his way to Chicagoland Speedway for the third time in his career. Self last competed at Chicagoland Speedway in the ARCA Racing Series in September, when he led 29 laps, and had a commanding lead with eight laps to go when his car blew a right-front tire, ultimately ending his day.
