Driver: Michael Self

Car: No. 9 Sinclair Oil Ford Fusion

Team: Sunrise Ford Racing

Crew Chief: Jeff Schrader

A Look Back: On September 14th, Self narrowly missed out on his first victory in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards after blowing a tire while leading with eight laps to go at Chicagoland Speedway. Self led 29 laps up to that point, and ultimately finished 19th.

A Look Ahead: This Saturday, Self will visit the .25-mile Meridian Speedway for the first time with the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West. Self will be behind the wheel of the No. 9 Sinclair Oil Ford Fusion, fielded by the Sunrise Ford Racing team.

Self on Meridian: “I’m anxious about this weekend, not really sure what to expect. I’ve never been to Meridian, but know its history as a .25-mile oval, and those races always make for an exciting show for the fans, but they’re stressful for the drivers. We ran strong at Orange Show earlier this year which is a very similar track, so hopefully that speed will carry over, and we can have a clean night on Saturday. I’m really excited to have a bunch of people from Sinclair and Stinker Stores coming out to this event, and to be racing so close to where I grew up in Salt Lake City.”

Appearance: On Friday, September 29, Self and the No. 9 Dino Car will be at the new Stinker Store location at 4849 N Meridian Road, Meridian, Idaho, from 3:00-6:00pm. Self will be signing autographs, and giving out Dino hats, t shirts, and swag, along with Stinker Store giving away race tickets and swag of their own, doing raffles and contests, and even lowering gas prices for the three-hour time period.
