A Look Back: On July 7, Self dominated the early stages of the race at Iowa Speedway, leading 43 laps, before contact with another driver brought his night to an end. Self ultimately finished in the 18th position.

A Look Ahead: After a two month break from racing, Self will return to the green and white Sinclair Oil Toyota with Venturini Motorsports this Friday night at Lucas Oil Raceway for his eighth race of the 2018 ARCA Racing Series season. Self has one prior start at LOR, in which he finished second in 2017.

Self on Lucas Oil Raceway: “I’m really excited to be back behind the wheel and competing again this weekend. It’s been a long eight weeks since Iowa, and it’s felt especially dragged out since I didn’t have a great result there. Short track racing isn’t necessarily my specialty, but I’m really hoping to rebound this weekend and bring home a clean car without any mistakes. That was my plan at this race last year, and it put me in contention to win at the end. This will be a stacked field, so everyone is going to have to be on top of their game.”
