A Look Back: On October 6th, Self and the ARCA Racing Series returned to Lucas Oil Raceway for the make-up race, postponed from it’s originally scheduled date of September 7th. Self and the No. 55 Sinclair Oil team started off strong, running in the top-three in the early portion of the race, but a mechanical issue led to an end result of 11th-place, three laps down.

A Look Ahead: On Friday, Self will not only return to the No. 15 Sinclair Oil/Sapp Bros. Toyota led by crew chief Kevin Reed, he will also return to the site of his first career ARCA Racing Series win, Kansas Speedway. Self has two prior starts at Kansas Speedway in the ARS, with a third place finish accompanying his win.

Self on Kansas: “I love Kansas. I’m excited to get back there, and back on an intermediate track. The last three races on short tracks have been disheartening, because we’ve had speed at every event, but have had terrible finishes. I’m hoping we can pick up where I left off last time I drove the No. 15 car when we won at Chicagoland and put together a solid night for everyone at Sinclair and Sapp Bros. Kansas is smooth, it’s fast, and the weather is always awesome there this time of the year which makes it a fun event all around.”
