Date: Saturday, June 22, 2019

Event: Day to Day Coffee 150

Track: World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway

Series: ARCA Menards Series

Watch It Live: MAVTV, 6:45pm CT

Driver: Michael Self

Car: No. 25 Sinclair Oil Toyota Camry

Team: Venturini Motorsports

Crew Chief: Shannon Rursch

A Look Back: Self finished second in his first career start at Madison International Speedway just one week ago. Leading 20 laps in the process, Self battled for the lead throughout the second half of the race with VMS teammates Chandler Smith and Christian Eckes but was passed with 11 laps remaining to bring home the runner-up position at the checkered flag. Self currently leads the ARCA Menards Series points by 35 over second place Bret Holmes.

A Look Ahead: Self will make another career first start this Saturday at World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway. The 1.25-mile track just outside of St. Louis features flat corners that are shaped differently at each end with long straightaways in between. Though Self has never made a lap at WWT Raceway, he spotted for Justin Hayley in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series at the track in 2016.

Self on Gateway: “I’ve been pretty excited for this race all year. This was the one track that I haven’t driven on that I’ve been looking forward to making laps at, because everyone has always told me that it’s a lot of fun and really unique. I enjoyed spotting for Justin in the truck series at Gateway a few years ago and still have memories of what we worked on, so hopefully that will help me get acclimated. I’ve always really enjoyed tracks that are a mile or bigger, and this falls in to that category so I’m hoping this track meshes well with my driving style and the Sinclair Oil Toyota team and myself are able to have a fun day on Saturday and start the second half of the season off with a strong run.”
