A Look Back: After a rain-shortened 101-laps at Salem Speedway, Self brought home his second-consecutive win of the 2019 season. The No. 25 Sinclair Oil Toyota dominated much of the day leading 72 laps before dark clouds brought rainfall just before the halfway point. ARCA Menards series officials ultimately called the race due to the threat of remaining weather. Self currently sits second in the series championship standings, five points out of first place.

A Look Ahead: On Friday, Self and the Sinclair team will transition off the short tracks and on to the total opposite, visiting the largest track on the series schedule: the 2.66-mile Talladega Superspeedway. Self has one previous start at Talladega in which he claimed the pole in qualifying and finished third just one year ago.

Self on Talladega: “I’ve got pretty mixed emotions right now, going in to this race. Our team has tremendous momentum coming off back-to-back wins, and our short track program has been really good, and now we go to another superspeedway where just like Daytona, a lot of things are out of our control as a team and it’s a really stressful environment. I know we’ll have a good car and good team mates surrounding us, but just like Daytona, anything can happen at these races. I feel like I have the knowledge to run a smart race and put ourself in a good position, but I felt confident in that area going in to Daytona too, so we’ll just have to see how things work out I guess. We’ll just try and put ourselves in the right position and surround ourself with racers we can trust and try and bring home a solid points day.”
