Race Weekend Information

Date: Friday, October 18, 2019

Event: ARCA Kansas 150

Track: Kansas Speedway

Series: ARCA Menards Series

Watch It Live: FS2, 7:30pm CT

Driver: Michael Self

Car: No. 25 Sinclair Oil Toyota Camry

Team: Venturini Motorsports

Crew Chief: Shannon Rursch

A Look Back: Self and the Sinclair Oil team finished sixth at Lucas Oil Raceway when the race was concluded early due to rain. Self ran as high as third and as low as eighth at times throughout the night as the Sinclair Oil team struggled to get a balance on the No. 25 machine.

A Look Ahead: This Friday the ARCA Menards Series season will close out at Kansas Speedway, the site of Self’s first on-track appearance with Sinclair Oil in 2017. In three ACRA Menards Series starts at Kansas, Self has a win and two third-place finishes. He enters the weekend 15-points out of the ARCA championship standings lead.

Self on Kansas: “I can’t wait to get back on an intermediate track and close the season out. The last couple races haven’t been at my favorite tracks, but Kansas is one that’s always circled on my calendar. It’s kind of a special track for me since it was the first place I raced after my hiatus from racing, and first track I raced at with Sinclair on the car. We’re 15 points out of the championship lead, and don’t have any risk of losing second place, so this weekend is definitely a go-big or go-home mentality for him. We don’t have anything to lose, so I’m hoping we’ve got a solid car on Friday night and can make some things happen.”
