A Look Back: A trend of disappointing finishes continued for Self and the No. 25 Sinclair Oil team, as they fought handling issues throughout the race at Toledo Speedway, crossing the finish line in seventh position. Throughout the first stint of the race Self fought a loose condition. After the team made some large setup swings at the first break at lap 75, Self was able to drive in to the top-five at the halfway point, but the handling issues overcame and he fell to just inside the top-10 before the second break at lap 150. After more changes and fresh tires, Self was able to make up ground in the remaining 50 laps, but ran out of time at the finish.

A Look Ahead: Self and the Sinclair Oil crew look to rebound this week as the series heads to the high-banked Bristol Motor Speedway for 200 laps under the lights. This event will be Self’s first at Bristol. Self enters the event 2 points out of first place in the championship standings.

Self on Bristol: “I think Bristol is a bucket list track for most racers. I know it is for me, at least. I’ve watched NASCAR races at Bristol since I can remember, so to have the chance to even make laps at the track is something that I’m really looking forward to. I’ve spotted at Bristol a few times in the past for the K&N cars and Trucks, so the track isn’t totally new to me, and hopefully that little bit that I’ve done there will carry over and help give us a good finish.”
